The European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) was developed in 2004 and provides the framework for closer cooperation with the neighbouring countries of the newly enlarged European Union, namely Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Russia, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine.
The European Consensus on Development is a policy statement jointly adopted in December 2005 by the Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament. It reflects the EU common vision on development and sets out the policy guiding the implementation of this vision at the Community level.
